As required by the Family Child Care Licensing Rule monthly safety drill practices need to be posted. Posted information will include:

date/time – #adults/children – location of “fire” – alarm method – exit used – completed head out – evacuation time – comments

The primary procedure for fire drill is to exit through the child care entry door, down the steps and across the yard. Any reason for deviation from this can be found in the Emergency/Disaster Response Plan. We do randomly practice alternative routes.

As required by the FCC Licensing Rule, we also practice how we would evacuate as part of the Emergency/ Disaster Response Plan. These practices are included as part of the drill log.
